Frontier Power

IFS conducted a study with the objective of analyzing The Frontier Power Company (FPC) Headquarters facility to improve the functionality of the existing offices and respond to serving the electric-related functions, to plan for additional FPC staff, to integrate the office needs of Frontier Propane, to update the facility image, and to correct facility infrastructure issues.
The purpose of this study was to plan an office expansion to accommodate the growth triggered by moving the Frontier Propane operations into the existing Frontier Power offices. It was assumed that the existing office area would be renovated and an office addition planned. This analysis was summarized in a Facility Assessment & Office Expansion Study Report, which included a Due Diligence Report, a Design Program, Diagrammatic Preliminary Concept Options for expansion and renovation, Schematic Design of the expansion and renovation, and a Schematic Budget Cost Opinion.
The Board unaminously accepted the report and authorized a 3,250 SF renovation and a 5,360 SF addition. The renovation includes interior renovation of the Lobby area and Customer Service and Operations offices, façade improvements, a new metal roof, and HVAC improvements. The addition includes a multi-purpose Community/Board Room, catering kitchen and break room, restrooms and offices. A new geothermal system serves the office areas.
